Today is the first day of first grade. Evie sprung out of bed this morning and was getting dressed so quickly, I had to tell her she could slow down. As usual, she filled the morning air with the sound of her voice and her funny little stories. Everyone in my house knows I certainly am not chatty in the morning, so it's her job. She was so excited to get to school, never hinting at a bit of nervousness. Not until I turned to leave her in her class. She looked nervous then, but I know she'll pull through. This kid loves school. Everything about it. I love this girl.
